Torque (τ) is used to describe force in rotational motion. Torque is the product of the force (applied to a lever) and the distance from which the force is applied to the axis of rotation (lever's fulcrum) and the sine of the angle between the force and the lever. The SI unit for torque is newton · s (N · m).
