Jerk
By Boyang ZhaoJerk is a vector and is the change in acceleration over the time elapsed. The unit for jerk is meter per second cubed (m/s3).
The symbol for jerk is not yet agreed, but "j" is usually used. Jerk is often used in engineering and manufacturing. Higher derivatives (the change of jerk with respect to the time elapsed...) exist, but rarely used. Although not yet standardized, the next higher derivative is named jounce.
